At least 15 people died on Thursday in an auto crash at Ubulu Okiti Junction in Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta State. The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has said Rindom Kumven, Delta sector commander of FRSC, disclosed this on Saturday in Asaba of Nigeria in an interview with the News agency of Nigeria (NAN)

He said the Accident occurred when a bus, marked DT 266 B28, enroot Asaba-Abraka, and was trying to avoid a head collision with a truck. The sector commander said at the time of the accident, the truck was trying to tow another articulated vehicle, loaded with iron, which had broken down

He said the driver of the bus, on sighting the barrier ahead, attempted to swerve to the other side of the road, but lost control in the process, as he ran into the truck. Kumven said 14 persons died on the spot, while FRSC officials rescued two others and took them to Mother and Child hospital at Issele-Uku. The sector commander, however said that one of them later died and the other had since been discharged.

This sickness has been on for a very long time. The cost of treatment of Papa, taking him from one place to another has seriously affected the business of the son Frank who runs a furniture business and also affected the market of the wife as well.

Meanwhile information reaching our news desk confirms the death of Pa Lucky Obasogie who died after receiving the sad news of the death of his wife Mrs. Edugie Obasogie. Mrs. Edugie Obasogie was reportedly to have been involved in a motor accident that claims the life of some passengers. Speaking with the diseased son, Mr. Frank, he confirms the death of his parents and regret the circumstances that took his father and mother leaving him alone to care for his younger sister and himself as the parents left them with nothing in this world.

Also speaking is a very close family friend who told our news correspondent that he wonder how the children would be able to cope with the double tragedy and face the stress and challenges of life that’s ahead of them looking at their current state of hardship
